To all Shih-Tzu owners...?

Shih Tzus do have a silky coat. You must remember that with any breed with such a short face they will have breathing problems and cannot be around smoke. With anethesia, short faced breeds can only be anethestized under isoflurane and must be hooked to a cardiac and respiratory monitor. You must also keep them from getting stressed in hot or humid weather. They need to be kept inside for the summer and only allowed out for short walks in the morning or night when it is coolest to avoid heatstroke.
