Is America the best place to be?

I guess traditionally America is where people can make it big but I don't think all the best opportunities are in the U.S anymore. The examples you gave were of celebrities which is a pretty uncommon profession. I suppose you would have to take into account different aspects of the places around you. In America there are many activities you can do, sports are generally more competitive, and there are plenty of people to interact with. In places like Europe, you'll find history and more likely than not, nicer people.
