How do I tell him I just want to be friends with him now after i told him I like him? Please help!?

I like this boy named Lee i have wrote a lot of questions about him. So i told my best friend and a very trusty person whose his friend to tell him and he told Hason and Hason said i was ugly but Lee didn't say that he just sat there. So now i just want to be friends with him but still like him how do i tell him i want to be friends do i ask or just say it or let him choose in between being friends being enemies or going out what should i do i'm only going to 6th grade.
